About Dean Owen:
Dean is President and strategic branding lead at MGM Communications, a leading Saskatchewan based advertising and branding firm. He’s been with MGM for over 15 years, leading their team and promoting the agency’s strategic creative locally and nationally. His experience in branding has played a major role in the success of many local and national businesses and organizations.
Dean’s roots are in creative development and design, having attended art colleges in both Vancouver and Toronto. Additional study broadened Dean’s understanding of strategy, content and social media marketing while transitioning from his previous role as Creative Director. But it was through his experience working on large national accounts that Dean became proficient in the area of branding.
In his career, Dean’s been an owner of a Toronto design firm and worked at global agencies, including BBDO and Ogilvy, where he developed campaigns for Shell, Canadian Airlines and Telus. Dean has led the development of both consumer and employer brands for many of MGM’s clients.
