Abbie Treslan practices general corporate/commercial law and has experience in various areas including commercial transactions, real estate, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, wills and estates, and civil litigation. Abbie completed two summer terms with Miller Thomson in 2018 and 2019, articled with the firm in 2020 and remained with the firm following her call to the Saskatchewan Bar in 2021.
Abbie completed her Juris Doctor with Distinction at the University of Saskatchewan. Abbie was an active member at the College of Law, involving herself in volunteering activities, intramural sports, and College clubs, which helped her to compete at the 2020 Canadian National Negotiation Competition where she and her teammate were able to place third in the competition.
Prior to entering the College of Law, Abbie earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Regina with Distinction. During her undergraduate studies, she competed at the JDC West Case Competition placing 2nd in the Western Canadian Competition. While completing her studies, Abbie gained work experience in the private and public sector at Western Surety Company and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture’s Agriculture Awareness Unit, and life experience while studying abroad at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.
Abbie is currently a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Saskatoon Bar Association, and the Saskatchewan Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs (SYPE).
In her free time, Abbie stays active through playing ringette in Saskatoon, being a board member on the Ringette Saskatchewan Association, playing golf, hiking, reading, and partaking in international travel.
