Saskatchewan Advisory Committee on Women Entrepreneurship

Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan (WESK) is calling for expression of interest to participate in the Saskatchewan Advisory Committee on Women Entrepreneurship. This Call is open to women and men with a passion for the advancement of women in entrepreneurship with unique skills and attributes to contribute to the cause.

The Advisory Committee shall be appointed in June commencing work in September 2019. Membership will be comprised of a majority of women with experience in entrepreneurship; specifically, experienced entrepreneurs with knowledge in scaling a business, expansion and diversification, trade (export and import) and accessing capital.

Additional members will be selected to fulfill a cross-section of skills and competencies including but not limited to finance, legal, policy, strategy, research, management, venture capital.

Members should have a connection to capital and business networks in Saskatchewan and beyond with an understanding of the Saskatchewan business and entrepreneurial landscape as well as current and future trends in small and medium-sized enterprises.

Efforts will be made to ensure committee diversity in ethnicity, geography, and gender as well as a representative of a variety of industries and sectors.

The Advisory Committee led by WESK will work in collaboration with the Government of Saskatchewan and other identified stakeholders. A copy of the Advisory Committee Terms of Reference is available here.

The Advisory Committee is an initiative supported by the Government of Saskatchewan and announced by the Honourable Tina Beaudry-Mellor on May 2, 2019.
