WESK is a non-profit organization working with women who are starting or growing a business. Our priority is supporting women throughout Saskatchewan to achieve their entrepreneurial goals. Our membership is diverse, with members located across our province operating in businesses in all sectors: Construction, manufacturing, retail, transportation, real estate, health & wellness, health services, management, consulting, food services, hospitality, professional, scientific & technological services, and finance & insurance, and more!
Both men and women can be a part of our organization. To be a member, you must:
- Be a Saskatchewan resident
- Fill out our Membership Application online, or visit our offices
- Pay the annual fee of $125 + GST
With your WESK membership, you receive unlimited, one-on-one appointments with a WESK Business Advisor.
No matter what stage of business you are in, our advisors are here to support you. WESK Business Advisors work with you to build business acumen – providing you with knowledge, skills, and resources to fully understand your business, industry, and personal style of managing a business. Our advisors provide an unbiased and confidential source of expertise and experience by supporting you to navigate, problem solve, and achieve your business goals.
Your WESK Business Advisor works with you to:
- Guide you through the business development process
- Analyze your research
- Connect you to the right resources and the right people
- Provide the tools and templates to write your business plan
- Understand your business needs and provide you with options for improvement
The advising process allows you to make informed decisions and assists with growing your business. Our advisors are an incredibly valuable component to your membership!
Financial support for entrepreneurs is not always easy to find. WESK wants to assist you financially, as well as with advisory support.
The WESK financing fund was established to create jobs and economic benefits for women in the province of Saskatchewan. WESK can provide financing up to $150,000 for eligible businesses, and can provide up to $250,000 through partnerships with other organizations. Interest rates are Prime +3%. To be eligible, you must operate a women-owned or majority owned (51%) business in Saskatchewan.
To apply for a loan through WESK, you must:
- Become a WESK member
- Meet with a WESK Business Advisor and review your business plan
- Complete a loan application and pay the application fee

WESK offers a variety of opportunities for entrepreneurs and business professionals to learn and connect with each other. WESK has a model that includes Start Up, Accelerators Network, and PeerSpark™ that are supported by our Established Entrepreneurs. Each phase of the model is designed to support and empower women by providing the necessary advice, encouragement, and information from like-minded entrepreneurs and industry professionals. The Established Entrepreneurs are recruited to serve as a mentor or expert to the Start Up and Accelerators Network.
