3) How to Develop a Marketing Plan: Hands-on, Motivating, and Demystifying

Let’s face it – developing a marketing plan is a daunting task. You know you need one, but where do you start?!

You start right here.

This workshop will show you marketing plans aren’t as scary as they appear and can, in fact, be a lot of fun. Did we just say fun and plan in the same sentence? Yes. Yes, we did.

Brita will walk you through all the necessary components of a successful marketing plan. You’ll get the tools you need, an easy-to-follow template (like Canva for a marketing plan), and an experienced guide to help you along the way.

With hands-on, interactive exercises (don’t worry, no push-ups), you’ll leave with clarity on what’s needed, the motivation to get it done, and the confidence that you can do it. Get a great start on developing your marketing plan at this workshop, then go home, fill in the blanks, and you’re ready to go.

Marketing is everything. And everything is marketing. But it’s okay – you’ve got this!

2) Elevating Your User’s Journey

Customer experience seems to be on every organization’s mind, but it’s not only or always about the customer. End users can be employees, patients, citizens, members, fans, guests, students, and more. The secret to any good experience is to really understand your current user journey. You’ve likely heard about them, read about them, or have even begun to put them into practice. In this workshop, Albert will take a deep dive into journey mapping and how a toolbox of design research approaches combined with empathy can help you define, refine, and create frictionless and memorable experiences for your users.

Panel: Integration vs Assimilation (Candid Conversations)

Candid Conversations, a WESK panel series, focuses on equality, diversity, and inclusion. This series fosters an inviting space to have important and impactful dialogues on EDI in the Saskatchewan workplace. For this segment, moderated by Prabha Ramaswamy, CEO of the SK Chamber of Commerce, we focus on Integration vs Assimilation.

Integration and assimilation are controversial but distinct terms. Integration is the adoption of basic values and principles of the country immigrants have relocated to, while maintaining their distinctive cultural identity and practices. In contrast, assimilation is generally defined as sacrificing their identities and culture and adopt the identities and practices of the country they have migrated to.
