About the Business

Brewed with purpose in the prairies, Good Spirit Kombucha provides a fizzy, functional alternative. Our passion for brewing ‘booch was built on a love for health and whole foods. Our refreshing kombucha is fruity, fizzy, and lightly tangy making it a delicious alternative to pop and alcohol. We believe in balance, so we wanted to brew a kombucha that keeps the tangy to sweet ratio juuust right. We are brewed with purpose in the prairies and you can find Good Spirit Kombucha throughout the province of Saskatchewan. We are proud to be a woman owned and operated company in the prairies. Over a few short years Taylor Chapman grew Good Spirit Kombucha from a side gig with friends to a commercial scale brewing operation, with Colleen Cretin joining her in a full-time role in 2019. The two women do it all – from brewing, packaging, and distribution to sales, marketing and accounting.

Taylor Chapman & Colleen Cretin

When Taylor was finishing her kinesiology classes at the University of Regina, the opportunity to join Kale in Good Spirit Kombucha arose. With an interest in wellness and entrepreneurship the opportunity to run a kombucha brewery was perfect! Over a few short years she grew Good Spirit Kombucha from a side gig with friends to a commercial scale brewing company. When she’s not in the brewery you’ll find her doing DIY projects around the house, with her dogs and family or gardening!

Colleen’s passion for brewing kombucha fell into place when her brother, Andrew and sister-in-law, Taylor, began brewing kombucha on the side with Kale at Good Spirit Kombucha. What started as a fun hobby turned into a business growth opportunity and the fulfilling work of crafting a product from start to finish. Prior to finding joy in the daily successes and challenges of being a small business owner, Colleen achieved a BBA in Accounting at the University of Regina and spent a few years working and traveling through Asia and Europe. Her love for new experiences makes entrepreneurship a great fit. She is a big fan of the library, coffee, cooking new dishes and traveling. Her favourite flavour of ‘booch is Ginger!
