About the Business

Since 1995, Helping Hands Personal Care Home has been the premiere choice for seniors and their families when quality of care and settling into a permanent home are important. We offer some of the lowest staff-to-resident ratios in the industry, in a stylish, yet homey environment. Our long-standing & well-deserved reputation of excellence guarantees that our residents are cared for holistically, with their emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual needs met in addition to their physical care needs. We have been providing quality care for over 25 years, and we know what seniors need to live healthy, happy lives in a supportive atmosphere. We value individual preferences at every opportunity–no “cookie-cutter” mentality at Helping Hands!

Heather Monaghan

Heather Monaghan obtained her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Regina in 1993. She taught in rural Saskatchewan for several years before returning to Sask Polytech to further her education in nursing. She graduated from the LPN program in 1998, at the top of her class–evidence of her passion for providing care for others. After working at Helping Hands Personal Care Home for several years, ensuring she had thoroughly learned the care-giving and management aspects of a senior care home, she purchased Helping Hands in 2001. Soon after, she expanded the previously residential-only business to include private home care services for clients in their own homes, named Helping Hands Bridging Program. Heather has expanded Helping Hands to 4 Personal Care Homes (in Regina, Melville, Grenfell, and Broadview) as well as a variety of other senior care options.
