About the Business

Luxe Artisan Chocolates began with an early passion in desserts and premium chocolates. Owner and Founder, Daniela Mintenko, discovered her love for chocolate while growing up in Colombia. Being exposed to crops of cacao trees in her childhood and enjoying the simple pleasure of eating a fresh cacao bean instilled a unique perspective on the power of cacao and the many variations of chocolate that can be produced from it.

Daniela Mintenko

Spreading joy with the fine art of pastry and sweets has become a career for Daniela Mintenko. Owner of Dandy’s Artisan Ice Cream of Regina, SK, as well as the recently launched Luxe Artisan Chocolates, Daniela is a professionally trained pastry chef that has invested significant time and energy towards creating the most exquisite ice cream and decadent chocolates available. With the goal of creating a unique and higher quality of ice cream, Daniela launched Dandy’s Artisan Ice Cream in 2019 to make from scratch ice cream in small batches – including all homemade inclusions and baked goods. Through sourcing local ingredients, Daniela is able to feature the best of what Saskatchewan has to offer while finding flavour profiles that can please a wide array of palates and dietary restrictions. Building on the success of Dandy’s due to the continued support of the local Regina community, Daniela sought out to raise the bar when it came to artisan chocolate making. Through several years of training, recipe testing and a strategic brand creation, Luxe Artisan Chocolates was founded in 2021 to showcase what truly premium handcrafted chocolates could taste like. Blending traditional chocolate making methods with modern techniques and designs, Daniela is able to encompass dessert inspired flavours from all around the world in each of her single bon bons. Daniela’s passion is fueled daily by the positive feedback she receives and the drive to grow the business further within Saskatchewan and beyond.
