Okami Martial Arts

My name is Crystal Greenwood I am a wife, a mom, and a business owner. I have been passionate about health & fitness for many years and naturally after years of rugby and crossfitting, I went into martial arts. It started simply with Karate and the love for the art. From there it blossomed to a business (we celebrate 11 years this summer!) I have a 2nd degree black belt in Shotokan Karate, a black belt in kickboxing and hold a blue belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu and a Pink Belt in Women Empowered Jiu Jitsu. I currently am the head instructor of Gracie Jiu Jitsu Saskatoon, the only Certified Gracie Jiu Jitsu Training Center in Saskatchewan. I have had the pleasure of traveling the world competing as a top level martial arts athlete and coaching top level athletes thru their own training. I strive to work within our community and ensure martial arts and self defense is accessible for all – from working with residents in long term care homes to feel safe(wheelchair self defense), teaching martial arts to students in their elementary & high school PE classes to currently partnering with the University of Saskatchewan to provide self defense to women on campus. My future plans are to start a non profit organization to aid victims of assault to find their power again with trauma therapy and jiu jitsu.
