Meet the Panelists
Bailey Dueker

Bailey Dueker has been growing cut flowers on her farm north of Biggar since 2020. She only grows the most gorgeous cut flowers, selling direct to florists, and also direct to retail customers through her bouquet subscription, weddings and farmer’s market. In addition to flower farming, she has also had to learn website development, email and social media marketing and business bookkeeping for her business.
Melissa Silvernagle

Alongside her agronomy career, she has recently taken over and now leads deMoissac Jewellers, a multi-generational family business rooted in the Biggar community for over 70 years. Melissa is also a birth doula, providing compassionate support to families during one of life’s most sensitive and life-changing moments.
For the past six years, she has led The b. class in Biggar, combining movement and music to support women’s physical and mental well-being. Married with three sons, Melissa balances entrepreneurship, leadership, and family life with purpose, energy, and heart.
Sarah Nagy
Co-owner
Leading Edge Welding Ltd.
Sarah is a Co-Owner of Leading Edge Welding Ltd. Quality and safety are key parts of their business, she is actively involved in both aspects. She enjoys problem solving in a fast paced industry serving the ag, construction, and industrial sectors – and everything in between. She is a leader in business, and the welding trade. She is always learning new skills, and enjoy seeing them applied in the shop or jobsite.
She has a love for the outdoors (most of the time!) and a passion for travelling and staying active. Recently, she started giving back to the trades through participating in WITT (Women in Trades and Technology) events such as Women in Industry, and Jill of All Trades.
