Kari Kosior
Owner
Kari's Kloset
Kari Kosior is the sole owner of Kari’s Kloset in Moosomin, Saskatchewan. She opened the doors 17 years ago — and some days it feels like just yesterday. Other days, she’s reminded of just how much life has happened since then.
Since opening the store, Kari met her husband Ben (her rock), started a family, and is now raising their two daughters, Billee (10) and Rayna (8) — along with a handful of furry family members. While Ben built his farming operation, Kari’s Kloset continued to grow into a destination boutique for women from across the prairies.
The juggle of being a business owner, mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and boss is very real. Kari will be the first to admit she’s never quite found the “perfect balance” she’s always striving for — but she’s sure going to keep trying (and laughing/crying about it along the way).
Her staff has become a second family and another steady rock. They support her through the many last-minute ideas that have defined the past 17 years of running a small business — and Kari supports them in return by striving to create a flexible, supportive workplace that fits their busy lives outside of work. At Kari’s Kloset, work doesn’t feel like work — it feels like home.
And of course, none of it would be possible without the customers. They are the reason Kari continues to hold the title of business owner. Over the years, genuine relationships have formed, creating a comfortable, welcoming space where women feel safe spending quality time shopping together.
Kari’s love for retail started early — from tagging along on shopping trips with her mom and listening closely to her needs, to having a Grade 6 teacher who (she swears) wore a different outfit every single school day. That spark turned into a dream of creating a store of her own.
She pursued Business Administration in college, then learned the ins and outs of retail under an incredible mentor — Monica at Ricki’s — who taught her how to manage a clothing store. The back-office side of owing a business started when she puchased 705 Main St and remains an area she continues to grow in. Kari proudly wears all the hats in the corporate office — and wouldn’t have it any other way.
Kari Meyers
Owner and Founder
Kari's Pharmacy
Kari Meyers is the owner and founder of Kari’s Pharmacy, located in Moosomin. She was raised in Moosomin and after graduation, attended the University of Saskatchewan to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree. She then worked as a staff pharmacist in Medicine Hat AB, Golden BC and Foam Lake SK, before returning to Moosomin. She worked as the Pharmacy Manager for Rx Drug Mart for 11 years in Moosomin. In January 2024, she started making plans to open a new pharmacy business. Along with her spouse, John, they purchased an existing retail building on Main Street and began renovations to convert it to a retail pharmacy. The summer was spent planning, setting up the business, and hiring staff for a November 2024 opening. Kari’s Pharmacy has been open for a little over a year, and the support of the community members has been incredible. Opening and running a business has been very rewarding.
Kari lives on an acreage with her spouse, John, and her 3 children. They enjoy boating and surfing in the summer, skiing in the winter, and chasing the kids around to various hockey rinks. They also spend as much time as they can with John’s 3 kids and their 6 grandchildren.
Alyssa Jeannot
Jeannot Electric
Alyssa Jeannot and her husband Kyle established Jeannot Electric in 2014. Alyssa initially juggled her administrative duties with the business, and her career as a Primary Care Paramedic in Moosomin. After successfully managing the chaos of both roles she transitioned to a full-time position with the company. She uses her unique skill set in emergency services to bring as much life as she can to Jeannot Electric. Alyssa’s electrical knowledge is limited, but she knows how to keep the “voltage” high in the office and ensures everyone (especially Kyle) is amped up for success. While she may not be wiring circuits herself, she keeps the lights on in the office—literally and figuratively!
As a busy mom of three, Alyssa embraces the belief that no challenge is too big, she continually seeks opportunities to learn and grow even in the midst of her demanding schedules. Alyssa has a passion for connecting with people, and her curiosity for learning anything has helped her expand her knowledge and understanding of an ever growing industry in electrical. As the owner and business administrator, she wears many hats, juggling everything from bookkeeping and marketing to operating equipment, and unloading semis when needed. Alyssa’s ability to tackle almost any task has helped Jeannot Electric grow from a single truck operation in 2014 into to a team of 16 talented individuals today, a testament to teamwork, “blind” confidence in each other, and commitment to excellence.
