Host: Marea Olafson
Marea Olafson is a potter, retreat host, and prairie storyteller. But wait, she’s not just one thing! She’s also a clay enthusiast, a heritage home restorer, a community builder, and a creator of meaningful moments through pottery. With over 25 years of teaching visual arts and a deep love for crafting functional, wheel-thrown pottery, she has built Freba Pottery as a space to inspire creativity, connection, and self-expression. From her cozy highway store to the immersive Elemental Claycation retreats, everything she creates is rooted in her passion for art, teaching, and fostering meaningful moments. Claycation and Freba Pottery are more than just pottery—they’re an experience, a way to reconnect with yourself, and a love letter to the land she calls home.
Without the incredible support of partners and sponsors, WESK would be unable to offer the extensive wraparound support our women entrepreneurs need. It is through our partnerships and sponsorships that we are able to extend our impact far beyond our core services. This event has been made possible through sponsorship by BHP.
