WESK Connect is our networking event designed to connect the WESK network around the province. For our Rural WESK Connect: Wynyard, we are bringing you a panel with three powerful women entrepreneurs. Expect these three to share insights, stories, and knowledge, all while helping you to foster meaningful connections and community. Did we mention registration, appetizers, a beverage of your choice, and entry to win a door prize are all free?

WESK Connect embodies the spirit of our mission to create strong foundations for women-owned businesses through community. We are bringing you a relaxed and inviting setting, with a more direct focus on connectivity, networking and candor. The format of the event is as follows:

  • 6:00 – 6:30PM: Open networking
  • 6:30 – 7:00PM: Panel discussion
  • 7:00 – 8:00PM: Open networking

Pen & Page Bookshop

Tessa Jordan is the owner/operator of Pen & Page Bookshop. Born and raised in her small town, Tessa is passionate about her community and her business. Opening Pen & Page has been a lifelong dream and in the fall of 2023, Tessa started seriously planning to make this dream a reality. Pen & Page opened its doors in April 2024. Since then the dream has grown into a thriving community space. Recently, Tessa and Pen & Page were named a Finalist for New Business of the Year at the 2024 WESK Gala.  

Paige Bashutsky

Briar & Bloom

Paige Bashutsky is a wife, mom to two young daughters, and the founder of Briar & Bloom, a flower farm nestled on her family’s land near Wynyard, Saskatchewan. Inspired by the WESK Gala and encouraged by close friends, and with the unwavering support of her husband, Paige took the leap to build something of her own. When she’s not tending to blooms, she enjoys spending time with family and friends or getting lost in a good book.

Marea Olafson is the artisan and owner of Freba Pottery where she makes wheel thrown functional pottery as well as have Elemental Claycation which is an immersive pottery retreat on her property.
