About the Celebration
WESK Entrepreneurs of the Year is our reimagined annual celebration (previously WESK Gala) designed to recognize more women, elevate diverse entrepreneurial journeys, and create meaningful opportunities for connection and storytelling.
Moving beyond a traditional awards gala, this modern, reception‑style event celebrates 50+ women entrepreneurs from across Saskatchewan, highlighting a wide spectrum of success, impact, and leadership. The evening is anchored in community, visibility, and pride; bringing together entrepreneurs, partners, sponsors, and ecosystem leaders to celebrate where women entrepreneurs are today.
This event also serves as the official kick‑off to the WESK Summit, creating a seamless two‑day experience of celebration, connection, and momentum.

Nominations & Applications
WESK Entrepreneurs of the Year is evolving how we recognize women entrepreneurs across Saskatchewan—celebrating diverse journeys, impact, and success in many forms.
Nominations and applications will go live in May. At that time, entrepreneurs will be able to apply directly, and community members and partners will be able to submit nominations.

- Entrepreneurs who use their time, influence, and business to strengthen communities beyond their own organization—prioritizing collective wellbeing, service, and social or cultural impact.
- Culture Builders
- Leaders who create workplaces rooted in trust, psychological safety, equity, and growth—where people feel valued, supported, and connected to a shared purpose.
- Rooted & Rising
- Entrepreneurs grounded in Saskatchewan who are expanding their influence beyond the province through values‑driven leadership, mentorship, advocacy, and reinvestment in the local ecosystem.
- Changemakers & Trailblazers
- Entrepreneurs who challenge the status quo through innovation, creativity, and courageous decision‑making—reshaping what’s possible in their industries or communities.
- Expansion Experts
- Entrepreneurs who have achieved meaningful, sustainable growth while maintaining people‑first leadership, strong culture, and long‑term vision.
