About
Robin Canham grew up in Regina, where early experiences in GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums) spaces sparked a passion for preserving and promoting access to public collections. She holds a Master of Art Conservation from Queen’s University, specializing in the conservation of paper-based collections and books, as well as a Master of Information Studies from the University of Toronto and a BA in English from the University of Regina. Robin has worked at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, the Provincial Archives of Alberta, Queen’s University Archives, and as a Kress Fellow at the W.D. Jordan Rare Books and Special Collections Library. Prior to her conservation career, she was an academic librarian for over a decade. Dedicated to education and outreach, Robin teaches art conservation at the University of Regina and recently founded Canham Conservation, a studio offering conservation services, workshops, and public programming throughout the Canadian Prairies.
Canham Conservation
Canham Conservation is a Saskatchewan-based conservation lab specializing in the care and preservation of works of art on paper, photographs, and books. Led by a professionally educated conservator, Canham Conservation offers conservation treatment, assessments, and consultation services to individuals, institutions, and communities. With a focus on ethical practice, sustainability, and cultural sensitivity, the lab ensures cultural heritage collections are cared for with integrity and respect. Education and outreach are central to the business, with custom workshops and public programming designed to share conservation knowledge and support the long-term care of Prairie heritage.
