1916 Farmstead

Our farmstead currently has a 1/4 acre market garden. We limit the amount of mechanized equipment used and focus on manual labour. We are using a biologically intensive approach to our market garden. This means that we grow a lot of food on a minimum amount of land while seeking to improve the quality of our soils. We do not use chemical inputs and grow our crops organically to provide healthy, nutrient dense food for our family and community. We also raise chickens for meat and eggs. Our laying hens free range and our meat birds are raised on pasture.
