Founded by Karissa Peterson and Laura Ludwar, the concept of Haus of Ops has been in their hearts and minds (and in their iPhone notes) for years.
With over 25 years of collective experience in leadership, customer segmentation, product development, entrepreneurship, market research, and business operations, the pair identified a gap in operational support for small ventures. While services for accounting, marketing, and communications were readily available, it was a bigger challenge to source dedicated support for processes, organizational structures and efficiency improvements, especially on a fractional basis.
Centering on the well-being of business owners, Haus of Ops uniquely emphasizes the strength of their connections and combines personalized mentorship with effective execution. Big believers that business can be fun, their approach aims to make a tangible difference in growing businesses while creating a more relaxed and fulfilled experience for business owners.

Karissa Peterson is a seasoned business leader and entrepreneur with over 15 years of cross-industry experience in retail, financial services, agriculture, and technology, spanning both corporate and startup environments. A passionate generalist, she has led initiatives across HR, Marketing, Finance, Customer Support, and Product Development, bringing a holistic approach to business operations, strategy, and culture. Known for empowering others, Karissa builds trust-based, collaborative environments that unlock individual and organizational potential. She has co-founded two ventures and is the founder of her third, Haus of Ops, a provider of fractional operations services. Grounded in her agricultural roots, Karissa combines hard work, heart, and hands-on leadership to drive meaningful impact.
