Marnie Fyten is an Intellectual Property Advisor for the Prairie and Northern Region, with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), an Agency of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED). She is responsible for delivering CIPO’s IP awareness programs, tools and learning resources, and providing unbiased guidance to startups and SMEs, as they maximize return on their investments in innovation and IP.
Marnie has a Bachelor of Science in Biology (B. Sc.), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and has lived and worked in Edmonton, Saskatoon, Yellowknife, and Ottawa. She has broad public service experience with three levels of government, two federal central agencies and several front-line departments in policy development and program design and delivery, risk management, and oversight.
