About

I'm Stacey and I'm the creator behind Selāh Ethical Goods Studio; a handcrafted and ethically sourced concrete candles + home decor company based in southern Saskatchewan. I grew up on a family ranch in the river valley along Lake Diefenbaker, Saskatchewan. Being raised in a ranching family that values being good stewards of the land, provided many life lessons over the years. The importance of faith, integrity, resilience, commitment, and perseverance, which I carry with me today. When I started Selāh, I wanted to make sure Purpose was a significant part of even the smallest of details. Investing in human dignity from beginning to end. From the ingredients I use and source; to the processes, I take to handcraft each item; to the hands (you) who buy our goods; and most importantly, those that we give our profits back to. As a Maker, I have woven my own heart into this little business. Each piece tells a story and carries with it meaning. For over a decade I had been actively involved in anti-trafficking efforts across Canada and had to re-evaluate how I could continue to be involved without losing myself in the process. The art of Selāh (meaning to pause + reflect) and finding life's rhythms played a significant part in navigating this season. My goal was to find a more sustainable way to continue that could also offer an invitation for others wanting to help make an impact in the anti-trafficking space in a very tangible way. Selāh is an invitation for those wanting to help fight human trafficking through the means of a socially conscious purchase.

Selāh Ethical Goods Studio

Selāh Ethical Goods invests in human dignity from beginning to end. Made with Purpose: Our candles and home decor is handcrafted, ethically sourced, and sustainable. We pay it forward, dedicating 10% of all profits to empower victims and survivors of human trafficking through the Survivor Support Fund in Canada. Each candle and concrete vessel is handmade in Saskatchewan. All our materials are ethically-sourced + eco-friendly; solely sourced from local producers and approved manufacturers in North America that share the same values of integrity, sustainability, fair wage, ethical working environments, supply chain transparency, and most importantly: honour human dignity in all they do.
