I’ve always has a passion for sewing. I think I drove my mom crazy with thread and needles and fabric scraps from the time I was 5. And I annoyed her for another 5 years before she let me use a machine. I had the idea for making seatbelt bags when I saw a friend’s seatbelt bag years ago. I was fortunate enough to find a great industrial sewing machine, and that was my cue to get creative! I source mostly rejected seatbelt and some reclaimed from wrecking yards. (Especially the great vintage buckles) The rejected seatbelt cannot be used by the auto/airline industry but is absolutely perfect for me to send these belts on a new adventure. It takes me anywhere from 1-2 hours to complete a bag. I use quality hardware and sturdy zippers in all my bags. The inside is just as eye-catching as the exterior. My followers love to see the great matching fabrics I choose for the inside. What makes my bags unique is that they are much more feminine than any other seatbelt bags you will find, and they have features that I felt other bags lacked . Outside pockets! Everyone loves lots of pockets and a place to be able to put your phone or keys to get to quickly. That’s why all my full size handbags will have those features. In the last 4 years I have made almost 2500 bags and I still love creating them and sending them all over the world. When I’m not in my design room you will find me out on the lake in the summer time. My husband and I moved there 5 years ago, and love the peacefulness of lake life.
